Have you ever…?
Have you ever known anyone who died without dignity? We all have, and if we loved that person we felt the pain of an end of life without quiet, comfort, tranquility and special care.
Influenced by her work of over 8,000 hours with hospice patients, Ruth Willemain has envisioned a facility that would provide around-the-clock volunteer care in a home-like setting for individuals who are terminally ill and face death alone and without adequate caregiver support. This place is called Harmony House.
This facility will be designed to provide 24 hour personal care to 10 individuals with private rooms designed for comfort. Common features would include a dining room, atrium and chapel. Beautifully landscaped grounds with park benches and groomed pathways will add to the tranquil setting.
There are people who do not have a place to spend their final months, weeks, or days with needed tranquility, peace and caring support. This is our dream. This is the vision which has been pursued for the last three years by the Board and supporters of Harmony House.
